One thing about me: I LOVE animals. Always have. Unfortunately for my husband, always will.
So when Brooke reached out about doing a session with her darling 14-year-old Dachshund, Remy, I couldn’t have been more excited. As a mom to a senior pup myself, sessions like this are so special. Pets are family, and the opportunity to capture the bond they share with their people is something I cherish!
From the very beginning, the most important thing was making sure Remy felt comfortable. We met at The Lumen Room, a beautiful pet-friendly studio in Fort Worth. He settled in quickly and warmed up to both me and the space right away. Once he realized there were plenty of cuddles, attention, and treats involved, he was completely on board with his camera time!
During the session, I was able to create both individual portraits that showcased his personality and capture sweet moments between him and his mom, Brooke.
At fourteen years young, Remy is clearly adored, and that kind of love shines through in photos. Moments like these are exactly why I love offering pet portraits. They freeze a little piece of time with the friends who mean so much to us.
